VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India.VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for MQ/Message Broker System Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skillset required:
• Perform day-to-day system administration of the WMQ / Message Broker Environments
• Setup new WMQ / Message Broker, clustering production environment
• Provide Support to application teams on WMQ / Message Broker related activities, including specific implementation and activities
• Set up and support redundant / load balancing queue manager structure
• Provide WMQ / Message Broker performance Support
• Provide WMQ / Message Broker Security Support
• Provide WMQ / Message Broker problem determination and problem resolution support for application activities
• Develop and deploy scripts for WMQ / Message Broker Administration Activities
• Provide Break /Fix Support for WMQ / Message Broker Activities
• As a MQ Administrator, you will have extensive experience with IBM’s MQ suite of products and in particular with MQ versions 6/7 and Message Broker. The installation base systems will be Intel systems hardware running Red Hat/SUSE Linux. You will be working with in a small cross-trained team and working primarily around distributed Linux systems. Daily your role will see you working on monitoring and improving the resilience of our various internal and public facing environments.
• Strong understanding of MQ clustering, performance tuning and monitoring of all aspects of the MQ infrastructure including Queue depth. Skills should include installation, configuration of MQ and message broker, creating new queue managers, queues, channels, name lists, SSL repositories, creating broker, configuration manager, backup and restore of integration infrastructure
• Key to being successful, will be the ability to administer and provide day-to-day support of the MQ service, including problem resolution in all environments, issue prioritization and in providing various systems diagnostics, proposed resolutions and support ; 24/7 .
• Candidate should have good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with executives, operations staff, vendors and peers
Responsibilities:
• Provide up to 3rd Level technical support and after-hours and on-call and weekend support
• Work on Various MQ infrastructure projects to improve system reliability and performance and deliver new features and services
• Work with business, developers and system administrators on planning, setting up new and expanding existing infrastructure
• Trouble shoot system performance and connectivity issues within the application and the infrastructure, feeding back any relevant application issues back to our development team
• Work with vendors to test and evaluate new hardware and software solutions
Education
Bachelor’s/ Master degree in computer science
Required Experience: Minimum 5 Years
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month)
